9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. 6 So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. We are not of the night or of the darkness. 5 For you are all children of light, children of the day. 4 But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. 3 While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 2 For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.ġ Thessalonians 5:1-11 The Day of the Lord 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. 15 For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. This past week there was a posting of events which will be happening very soon on the earth’s calendar, and slated for our government’s calendar which are interesting.Īny individual or grouping of events that display unique, “end-time” characteristics, cause those longing for Christ’s Return, to “look up,” for their Redemption may be coming soon (Luke 21:28) – it is not a matter of “if”… one day, Christ will come!ġ3 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. It seems like there are a growing number of events which may point more specifically to the return of Christ sooner than later. O Eternal Life and Everlasting blessing and service in the Kingdom of God. O Accountability and Justice for those who seek to rebel against God. O Our Salvation and Redemption, by God’s Grace, with unparalleled Rewards given for honorable service.
Jesus Christ will Return to Earth Again One Day: And when He Comes, we look forward with great anticipation to: Hope in Christ exceeds Anything this world has to offer: Those who are followers of Christ, whose sins are cleansed by the Blood of Jesus Christ and whose lives are seeking to please God, have a hope that far exceeds any assets, power or glory that can be received on this earth. The crux of the message today is to remind us that:Įveryone is Accountable to God (no matter what they believe differently): One day everyone will be held accountable for what they have done on this earth. Only someone otherwise deceived keeps on doing wrong. (If you knew for sure that you would be caught and seriously punished each time, would you be foolish enough to keep doing the wrong thing time and time again?) In order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more.Ī Godless attitude, summarized aptly by those deceived is: You encourage them, and you listen to their cry,ġ8 defending the fatherless and the oppressed,

There is an “antichrist” attitude sweeping across our nation and the world these days.
